Zimbabwe government approves Ivermectin

Posted on February 1, 2021

NewDay reported on Friday that the Zimbabwe government has authorised imports of the Covid-19 drug Ivermectin.

Govt approves anti-parasitic COVID-19 drug

GOVERNMENT has approved mass importation of the veterinary anti-parasitic drug, Ivermectin, as it battles the second wave of COVID-19 infections which have rattled President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration after killing five government ministers.

Robert Mudyiradima, the acting Health secretary wrote to the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ) acting director-general Robert Rukwata directing that the drug be approved for use in the treatment of COVID-19 and that it could not “deny them (COVID-19 sufferers) effective treatment
regimes”.

“It is in this regard that authority is granted for you to proceed under section 75 of the Medicines and Allied Substances Control Act to allow importation and use of these medicines under the supervision and guidance you outlined,” Mudyiradima wrote on January 26.

When I got covid in December 2021 I immediately recognized what was happening from the information on internet and was able to treat myself. I had been using the prophylactic dosage and switched to the treatment. Only symptoms were streaming nose, very sore throat and languid tiredness, which enabled me to sit in the sun and read my book without a guilty conscience!. The whole event lasted 5 days. I am very grateful to the honest doctors who were prepared to put the information on-line for us ordinary people.
I am aged 77 by the way, and have had no adverse reactions to the disease despite refusing this experimental pharmaceutical product being offered as a miracle vaccine, but has now proved to be limited in efficacy compared to natural
immunity gained by experiencing covid and using a simple treatment to help me to a successful recovery. I never personally met Dr. Stone but am eternally grateful for her service to the Zimbabwe population.

Thank heavens the government approved the import and use of Ivermectin.
I myself needed treatment by Dr Jackie Stone who saved my life from COVID when I caught it at the end of 2020 and again end of 2021. I had Double Bronchial Pneumonia and a collapsed lung many years ago, so she certainly saved my life with her treatments.
